My awesome fun with watercolors that came in the mail! I don't usually get a chance to do traditional media drawings, so this was a treat for me! I am thinking of doing twisted fairy tale pieces for a little while!

Also! I'm addicted to this song and the one in the actual movie, Slumdog Millionaire and wanted to share it! ENJOY!

ZOO TRIP 2009

The Crew:
My Drawings:
The Animals:This year was awesome and bumming all at the same time. We went to Central Park Zoo this time! I liked the intimate feel of having a couple nice buds around and drawing the a-nee-mals. But for usually having 30+ people come... 4 was sad for an organized event. It didn't rain and I was very glad for that! Afterwards, we went to a wonderful BBQ party in Sunnyside and got to hang out! It was a very nice day! :)

ASIFA EAST drawing session @ SVA 2009 #04

Some ASIFA sessions I attended this year so far. I think I'm beginning to improve on some things, but I'm noticing I'm losing on others. I wish I could sift it out and make things look really great! hhhmmm practice... practice...

Stressed Out Free Time

Long time no update... My life was turned upside down the last couple of months.

When AC had laid me off, I thought, no big deal. I'll find a job, do freelance, or collect unemployment for a while! I WAS WRONG!!! The economy is awful! Companies are faltering everywhere! There are NO JOBS! Unemployment has me filling out forms every second day and doesn't want to help me survive!

I had a phone call tonight where I decided it was time to give up my dream and return to my roots. I would at least be welcomed with open arms and a secure roof over my head. I have no money left for my bills and food... it might be time. I mix juice with half water to pinch pennies. We'll see what happens, but reality of a broken dream is setting in. All my pipes froze during the cold spell last week as well. ARGH!

The really good thing about having some time on my hands was to learn a little bit about Dreamweaver and After Effects and make myself an online portfolio!!! Lynda.com is the best to learn new software!!! I need to continue to watch my CDs on AE and then tackle MAYA! WOO HOO! I think my site looks alright for now!!! Please check it out!

Anyways, I hope all of you are doing well in these tough times. I wish you the best of luck in your current jobs, freelance, job searches, or just making due with any unemployment you can gather to make ends meet! I hope 2009 brings you something good! I also hope Obama helps repair USA's foundation cracks as much as possible for us all!!! Stay warm everyone!

Halloween 2008

There was a rocking party that some of my co-workers hosted. Almost everyone from AC was there. I had a blast with my Woodchuck Amber in my hand, talking to everyone about their costumes, dancing, and taking photos. HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!
(the last photo...couldn't help myself but make it a real Harry Potter fight! LOL)

Breast Cancer Walk

Update!!! November 1, 2008
I really enjoyed the walk on October 19th. It was extremely frigid, but with all the energy around you couldn't help but feel warm! The walk took me about 2 hours for 4 miles. It was very tiring but the people and their stories around you made you want to keep going for all the people who do or may suffer this disease! God bless everyone!
